This recipe is all about bringing that tasty Lucky Cajun goodness right to your kitchen. And for those who love blackened shrimp with a kick, paired with a tangy Cajun remoulade sauce, you’ve found your new go-to meal. Plus, we’re sharing the recipe for our famous Sneaky Sauce—the tangy twist that brings this shrimp salad to life.

🧂 What You’ll Need:

  • 10 pieces of 30-count shrimp (or more if you're extra hungry)

  • 1 small head of romaine lettuce (or use a larger one to make two salads)

  • 6–7 cherry tomatoes, halved

  • Lucky Cajun Datil blend (or choose Voodoo or Black Label if you want a different level of heat)

  • Sneaky Sauce (aka our homemade Cajun remoulade) — recipe below

🔥 Sneaky Sauce (Cajun Remoulade):

This sauce is the real MVP. Inspired by our famous crab cake recipe, it brings all the right flavors together in one bold, creamy blend.

  • 1 ½ cups mayo

  • 3 tablespoons ketchup

  • 1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 1 large garlic clove, minced

  • 1 tablespoon capers

  • 3 tablespoons sweet relish

  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon

  • ¼ cup Italian parsley

  • 3 tablespoons smoked paprika

  • ½ tablespoon Lucky Cajun seasoning (any of our blends will work!)

Instructions: Toss everything into a blender, blend until smooth, and voilà—the perfect Cajun remoulade to complement your blackened shrimp.

🔥 How to Make It:

1. Prepare the Salad
Chop the romaine lettuce, slice the cherry tomatoes, and set them aside.

2. Blacken the Shrimp
Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat (make sure you’ve got ventilation—this gets real!). Coat the shrimp in your favorite Lucky Cajun blackening seasoning—Datil, Voodoo, or Black Label all work depending on your heat level. Drop the shrimp into the skillet and blacken well on one side before flipping to cook through. They cook fast, so keep an eye on them!

3. Assemble the Salad
Plate the lettuce, add your sliced tomatoes, and drizzle with Sneaky Sauce. Top with the freshly blackened shrimp and dig in.

👨🍳 Tips for the Perfect Shrimp Salad:

  • Want less heat? Swap the Datil blend for Voodoo or Black Label for a milder flavor.

  • Add some flair: Toss in grilled corn, sliced avocado, or pickled onions for extra pop.

  • Meal prep tip: Double the shrimp and sauce for easy weekday lunches.

🥄 Why You’ll Love This Recipe:

  • Quick & Easy: Get dinner on the table in no time—no fuss, no flavor sacrificed.

  • Customizable: Adjust the heat and ingredients to match your vibe.

  • Bold Flavors: From the smoky blackened shrimp to the tangy Cajun remoulade, every bite packs a punch.
